Listen to Blake Shelton on iHeartRadio

Blake Shelton is poised to have his best sales week yet with his new album, Based on a True Story... says the country star's latest release is expected to see first-week sales of more than 180-thousand.  That figure far surpasses his previous best, which came with 2011's Red River Blue.

Shelton's last album debuted at number one on both the Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Country Albums chart with 116-thousand copies sold.  However, despite the higher sales, Shelton's new disc isn't expected to top the all-genre chart.  Last week's number one, Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience, will likely stay at number one for a second week with more than 300-thousand in sales.  Lil Wayne's I Am Not a Human Being 2 is the anticipated number two album with projected sales of 200-thousand.

But Blake isn't the only country star expected to debut in the top ten.  Alan Jackson's Precious Memories, Volume 2 is also on track for a top ten entry with first-week sales of 50-thousand.
