Dan + Shay Release New Song 'I Should Probably Go To Bed'

Dan + Shay are back and have returned with their brand new song "I Should Probably Go To Bed."

"I Should Probably Go To Bed" follows Dan + Shay's hit collaboration with Justin Bieber "10,000 Hours" and 2018 self-titled third album. The song was written by the Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney at the beginning of 2020, and was finished at Dan Smyers' Nashville home studio during the mandated quarantine. The track was also produced, engineered and recorded by Smyers.

The new song talks about going to bed instead of picking up the phone to call or text someone you're trying to move on from. In the chorus, the duo's Shay Mooney sings, "I should probably go to bed/ I should probably turn off my phone/ I should quit while I'm ahead/ I should probably leave you alone/ 'Cause I know in the morning/ I'll be calling/ Saying sorry for the things I said/ So I should probably go to bed

In a statement, the guys said of their new release, "We're so excited about our brand new single, 'I Should Probably Go To Bed.' We wrote part of this song in Los Angeles during Grammy week, but finished it at my house on my piano, kinda by accident. Shay had come over to record vocals on another song that we had written. We took a break, went downstairs, started singing this song and realized, this song needs a big ending. So we really went for it. Shay delivered one of my favorite vocal performances of all time. We're so proud that this is our new single. Check it out if you haven't already, I Should Probably Go To Bed."
