Lady Gaga Prays For 'Peace For All Americans' Ahead Of Inauguration Gig

Lady Gaga wishes nothing but positivity for President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration.

Ahead of Biden's inauguration later today in Washington D.C., Gaga took to Twitter on Tuesday (January 19) to send a message of hope to her fellow Americans. "I pray tomorrow will be a day of peace for all Americans,” she wrote. “A day for love, not hatred. A day for acceptance not fear. A day for dreaming of our future joy as a country. A dream that is non-violent, a dream that provides safety for our souls. Love, from the Capitol."

Mother Monster will put her patriotism on display when she performs the National Anthem as part of the inauguration TV special, Celebrating America. Last week, Gaga’s Trump-supporting father, Joe Germanotta, spoke about her upcoming performance on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol. "I'm extremely proud that she's able to participate," he told Fox News. "I'm looking forward to watching it."

Germanotta, who will not be in attendance at the event, also spoke about his daughter's safety at the event after the Capitol Riots. "I hope everybody stays happy, safe and it's a calm day," he said, adding that he has "normal fears that a father would have any time my daughter performs."

Aside from Gaga, the TV special will also feature presentations and performances from Demi Lovato, Jon Bon Jovi, Justin Timberlake and Ant Clemons. Click here for more on that!
