President Donald Trump's approval rating has reportedly dropped to a new low for his second of two non-consecutive terms in office, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll.

The survey, which was conducted between November 14 and November 17, showed that Trump had a 38% approval rating and a 60% disapproval rating, giving him a -22% net approval rating. The president's approval rating has seen a consistent drop during the first eight months of his second term, starting at 47% when he took office in January.

The four-day poll was released amid criticism over Trump's handling of the high cost off living and public stance on the investigation into late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who he was known to have had a past relationship with prior to his claim of a public fallout. The Republican controlled Congress passed a measure to force the release of Justice Department files on Epstein to be released and the bill is set to be sent to the president's desk.

Trump had opposed the move for months before reversing his position, but claimed Epstein's ties to Democrats should be investigated. The president's approval rating has also reportedly dropped among baby boomers, one of his strongest demographics, according to a YouGov/Economist poll conducted between November 7 and November 10.

Trump is reported to have dropped to a 42% approval rating and a 57% disapproval rating equaling a -15 net approval rating among baby boomers. The president had a 49% approval rating and a 49% disapproval rating among baby boomers in October.

Baby boomers were crucial in Trump's 2024 election victory over Democratic former Vice President Kamala Harris, with the president getting 51% of support among the generation, according to Yahoo! Finance. Last month, the Harvard Caps Harris poll also reported that Trump's support among baby boomers was significantly declining.

Last week, the Associated Press and the NORC Center for Public Affairs research reported that Trump's overall approval rating dropped by 10% over the past eight months. The survey, which polled 1,143 adults from November 6 to November 10, showed that only 33% of respondents approve of how Trump's overall job performance, a decrease by 10% from an earlier study conducted in March, while 67% of respondents disapprove.

The president is also reported to have less support among his own party with only 68% of Republicans approving his job performance, a 13% decrease from the 81% reported during the survey conducted in March. Only 25% of independent voters approved Trump's job performance while an overwhelming 95% of Democrat responders disapproved.
