Amy Now Has A Snooze Pact With A Listener

If you're a chronic snoozer, like most of us are, turns out it may actually be a bad thing. If you don't get up the moment your alarm goes off and decide to hit the snooze button, your brain actually sends signals for hormones to be released that would usually put you into a deep sleep.

The problem with this is that you're only getting five or ten more minutes in bed before jolting yourself awake again and this actually confuses your body. The experts at Sleep Clinic Services believe the better option is to simply set your alarm ten minutes later than you normally would, and raise yourself as soon as the music blares.

If you don't do this, your body could experience what's called 'sleep inertia' - a feeling of grogginess.

During the show, we asked listeners about their sleep patterns and how much they "snooze." Amy, co-host of the Bobby Bones Show, admits she snoozes often. A listener named Jessica said she has the same issue as Amy, so Bobby set them up as accountability partners.
