Bobby Bones Has Strong Opinions On What You're Officially Too Old To Do

The Bobby Bones Show went down a hilarious rabbit hole trying to answer a question nobody asked for, but suddenly everyone had opinions about: what are you officially too old to still be doing?

It all started when Bobby brought up Patrick Mahomes celebrating his 31st birthday with a party. Not a dinner. Not cake with the family. A full-on birthday celebration.

That sparked the debate.

The first topic? Birthday parties. Bobby wondered if there's an age where you stop throwing big parties and just make a restaurant reservation instead. Amy was quick to point out that milestone birthdays should always be exempt, whether it's 30, 40, 50 or beyond.

The conversation then turned into a surprisingly passionate discussion about adulthood milestones. Some felt the birthday-party cutoff is around 30. Others argued the clock doesn't start until after 30. Bobby even shared a story about a group headed to Las Vegas for a friend's 50th birthday celebration. On the flight there, they were excited and full of energy. On the flight home? Hoodies up, sunglasses on and looking completely defeated.

Next up: asking your parents for money.

Bobby got the biggest laugh of the segment when he was asked whether he would borrow money from his parents at his current age.

"They're dead."

The room immediately lost it.

After everyone recovered, the show generally agreed that once you're fully established as an adult, regularly asking mom and dad for cash probably shouldn't be part of the plan.

Then came music festivals.

Could you still attend one purely for fun in your late 30s or 40s?

Amy thought people could easily enjoy them into their 30s. Bobby wasn't buying it, saying the combination of crowds, parking, standing around all day and being surrounded by people much younger than him sounds less like a weekend getaway and more like a punishment.

The roommate debate might have been the most divided topic of all.

Some argued that having a roommate into your early 30s is completely normal, especially if you're single. Others felt that by 30 you should probably have your own place.

Amy, however, introduced a loophole everyone seemed to enjoy.

Apparently, there's an age where roommates become cool again.

Her evidence?

The Golden Girls.

The conversation continued with social media habits, including whether anyone should ever post a birthday countdown for themselves. The show's collective response was basically an immediate and unanimous "absolutely not."

But the strongest reaction of the day came when Bobby brought up one of his favorite personal rules regarding sports jerseys.

According to Bobby, if you're wearing a player's jersey, that player should be older than you are.

The room immediately pushed back.

Eddie then admitted he had just worn a CeeDee Lamb jersey over the weekend, which only strengthened Bobby's argument. Bobby explained that if you're going to wear a jersey as an adult, it should probably be a throwback player, not a current star who might be 15 years younger than you.

The funny part? Eddie confessed that ever since Bobby introduced the rule, he can't put on a jersey without thinking about it.

In the end, the show landed on the correct answer for almost every topic: do whatever makes you happy.

That said, if Bobby sees you wearing the jersey of a player half your age while heading to a three-day music festival with your roommate for a non-milestone birthday party, you should probably be prepared for some questions. 😆
