Super Bowl Snacks Cost Less This Year

Overall food prices may be up by 11.8 percent, but football fans won't be feeling the pinch while watching Super Bowl 57. If you plan on making chicken wings for your party, you're going to spend 22 percent less on the chicken than you did last year, according to the Wells Fargo Super Bowl Food Report. A pound of chicken wings has dropped from $3.38 last year to $2.65. Plus, the price of avocado is down 20 percent, shrimp has dropped 17 percent and sirloin steak has decreased by $1 a pound, the report reveals. However, what you save on food could easily be spent on beer. It's price is 11 percent higher than it was last year, Wells Fargo reports. Plus, wine is up 4 percent and spirits have climbed 2 percent, per the report. Super Bowl 57 is scheduled for February 12th in Glendale, Arizona. What's your favorite Super Bowl food?
