Hey everyone!
With my master's degree finally completed, I decided it was time to plant a garden this spring! I thought this would be fun for my 3 year old to learn, but you know how toddlers get sometimes when you try to teach them something!
I wanted to start out with a smaller garden this year with just some basic plants. My Dad helped me build a raised garden and haul in some black dirt for this season. Thanks Dad!
Next, I asked the family what they would like to plant in our small garden. Well, my 3 year old said he wanted carrots. My wife wanted to plant some beets and peas, my 3 month old just smiled at me, and I wanted to plant some onions for grilling with potatoes. My parents and my wife's parents usually grow a lot of potatoes that we can use for cooking and grilling.
How will the garden turn out this year? Well, we will have to wait and see! The majority of the garden beds are filled with carrots, and then beets with a few peas and onions. I hope everything turns out well this year and then we can try some other plants for next year!
