The Minot Public Library is kicking off the digital summer reading program. Through the l new software, Beanstack, families can sign up, log minutes, complete activities, and earn prizes over the summer months.If you do not have access to the Beanstack app or a computer, there will still be paper logs available for teens and adults. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is welcoming the 101 days of summer with a reminder for everyone to play it safe while on the water and to always wear a life jacket. The 101 days of summer starts with Memorial Day Weekend and goes through Labor Day. Corps staff is reminding everyone to understand the value of wearing a life jacket. According to the National Safety Council, drowning caused 3,709 deaths in 2017. With the start of the summer recreation season upon us, let’s do our part to reduce these preventable deaths.

Ward County 4-H Achievement Days is postponed to July 13th thru the 18th, 2020.4-H Show will be July 18th, 2020 with a location change to Minot Trail Riders. The Ward County Shootout Livestock Show will be July 17th, 2020 at the NDSF grounds with entry deadline July 2nd, 2020.
