Just over a year ago, Post Malone made his highly-anticipated debut on the historic Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville, Tennessee. The sold-out show took place two days before the singer-songwriter released his country record, F-1 Trillion.

Post Malone performed on the Opry stage for the first time on August 14, 2024. The Opry reminisced on that evening with a post on Instagram on Wednesday (August 20), featuring the “I Had Some Help” star’s “Opry debut and these behind-the-scenes moments!” Some of the slides include Post Malone approaching the Opry’s artist entrance, rehearsing in the historic Opry circle, deeming his look “K-Mart George Strait” during the show, performing with Lainey Wilson, and sharing the stage with Vince Gill.

The star-studded Opry show in 2024 included collaborative performances with Wilson, Gill, John Michael Montgomery, Brad Paisley — who introduced Post to the stage, and said he has a “country heart,” and has “immersed himself in the Nashville way” — and The War and Treaty.

“My name is Austin Richard Post. And I’m here to play some songs tonight with some really amazing folks and friends of mine and I’m honored to call them friends of mine. And I’m so terrified and beyond honored to be standing right in this spot right here,” Post Malone said as he stood in the Opry circle last year. He added that he was “amazingly grateful and beyond floored,” that Paisley introduced him to the Opry stage, and pointed out that he saw the country star in concert around age 6. Paisley was also one of the featured artists on F-1 Trillion, along with Wilson, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Blake Shelton, Dolly Parton and many more.
